Senior Academic Manager - Phyllis Martina

Phyllis Martina is the Senior Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals. She joined Colgate from Hu-Friedy Mfg. Co., LLC where she was the Western Region School Manager. Her previoen/us position was as a clinical faculty at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where she was responsible for dental student non-surgical periodontal course in their second, third and fourth year of their dental education.

Phyllis graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors. She received her Master of Ben/usiness Administration with an emphasis in marketing and finance from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles California. She has over seventeen years' experience in general, periodontal and pediatric dental offices.

Phyllis' career in dental hygiene started in high school as a dental assistant and includes positions as clinician, faculty member, as well as corporate positions in marketing, sales and management. She developed and presented courses to student dental professionals, faculty, professional associations and study clubs. Phyllis is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, American Dental Education Association and is a lifetime member of Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene honor society.

Pacific Region - Marti Santizo

Marti Santizo is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals covering the Pacific Region. She joined Colgate following a diverse career as a private practice clinical hygienist, a corporate regional manager with Ultradent Products, Inc., and a dental hygiene program director

Marti graduated from the University of Louisville, School of Dental Hygiene with her Bachelor degree in dental hygiene. She received her Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. Marti has over 25 years of experience in private practice; 15 years were spent working with Dr. Gordon Christensen where she was involved with Clinicians Report (CR, formerly known as CRA) research, and lecturing with Practical Clinical Courses. As a Regional Manager, and a Dental Hygiene Program Director, Marti educated dental hygiene students, territory representatives, and practicing dental professionals on best products and practice techniques.

As an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, Marti has served as the President of the Utah Constituent as well as a variety of other elected positions, including state head delegate to the ADHA. Additionally, she is a member the American Dental Education Association, the Utah Oral Health Coalition, Utah Dental Hygiene Educators’ Consortium, and has served on the Board of Directors for Clinicians Report (CR Foundation), Utah Board of Dentists and Dental Hygienists Ethics Committee, and Advisory Boards for multiple Utah dental hygiene programs.

North Central Region - Tina Cunningham

Tina Cunningham is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, covering six states in the North Central region of the country including Western Pennsylvania. She joined Colgate in 1997 as an oral care consultant, following working in private practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist for six years. Tina also has held an executive sales professional position with Sanofi Pharmaceuticals educating health professionals of the benefits of insulin.

Tina graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, Dental Hygiene Program. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene Education at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Point Park University. She has twenty five years in private practice experience.

Tina is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association and is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene Association. She has served as President-Elect, President, Past-President and Vice-President of the Western Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene Association. Tina also is a member of Sigma Phi Alpha National Dental Hygiene Honor Society and ADEA.

Midwest Region - Janette Delinger, RDH, MSDH

Janette received her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University and her Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has over 24 years of experience in private practice and occasionally works in clinical practice. Before joining Colgate, she spent 5-and-a-half years as the Midwest Professional Education Manager at Philips, where she presented programs nationally and internationally.

Since 1998, Janette has been active with the Kansas Dental Hygienists' Association, where she has served in many roles, including President, Delegate, and Legislative Chair. Currently she is the Trustee for ADHA District VIII, which includes Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. Having worked on legislative access to health care issues over the last 10 years, she is passionate about working toward solutions to help reduce and eliminate this crisis. She volunteers at the annual 2-day Kansas Mission of Mercy events, which donate dental services to those in need of oral health care.

In her position with Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, she manages a 6-state region in the Midwest and presents programs on a variety of topics throughout the United States. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, the American Academy of Dental Hygiene, the American Dental Education Association, Sigma Phi Alpha, and Phi Kappa Phi. She recently was honored and accepted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Dental Hygiene.

Southwest Region - Annette Wolfe

Annette Wolfe is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, covering the Southwest. She joined Colgate from D4D Technologies where she served as Professional Services Specialist and a faculty member of the E4D University. Annette came to D4D in February 2007 from DENTSPLY Professional, where she served as Clinical Educator for the Southeast region. Prior to her position with DENTSPLY, she spent more than eight years with EMS/Electro Medical Systems, manufacturer of Ultrasonic Scalers and Air Polishers.

Annette graduated from Bristol Community College in Massachusetts with an Associates degree in Science. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene with a minor in business from Texas Woman’s University. Annette has written and presented continuing education courses; reviewed and revised textbook materials; provided clinical and product support for practice management organizations, dental dealers, and clinicians; and worked with numerous researchers from universities and research centers.

Central Region - Deborah E. Fleming

Debbie Fleming is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, covering seven states in the Mid-Atlantic and Central regions of the country. She joined Colgate from The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where she was a Clinical Assistant Professor. She also has held a faculty position at The University of Maryland, Dental School, Baltimore, where she was the first-year clinic coordinator in the dental hygiene department.

Debbie graduated from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA, with an Associates degree in Science. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has nearly twenty years in private practice experience.

Debbie's career in dental hygiene includes a diverse and unique set of experiences. Clinician, faculty member, researcher, author, and advocate, include a few of the roles she has embraced. She has developed and presented courses to student dental professionals, professional associations, dental societies and study clubs. Her focus is to provide dental professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them with making active evidence based recommendations in their clinical practice. She is a contributing textbook author and has been published in both dental and dental hygiene publications. Debbie currently serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Dental Hygiene, is a member of the Corporate Council for Dimensions of Dental Hygiene and is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association and the American Dental Education Association.

Northeast Region - Diane S. Peterson

Diane Peterson is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, covering seven states in the Northeast region of the country. She joined Colgate from Surgitel Systems where she was the Northeast Territory Manager. Prior to her position with Surgitel she was a full time faculty member at Vermont Technical College. She also holds an adjunct faculty position at St. Petersburg College teaching in the online Bachelor’s Dental Hygiene Program.

Diane graduated from the University of Vermont with an Associate's Degree in dental hygiene. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Science Degree in Education at the University of Vermont. She has nearly thirty years of clinical expertise in the field combining many roles including clinician, educator, advocate, and researcher.

She has developed and presented courses to student dental professionals, professional associations, dental societies and study clubs. Her focus is to provide dental professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them with making active, evidence-based recommendations in their clinical practice. Diane is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, the American Dental Education Association, and the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society.

South Region - Becky Horst

Becky Horst is an Academic Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceutical, covering the South. She joined Colgate from Hu-Friedy Mfg, Co. LLC as Clinical Education Manager in the southeast. Becky consulted with dental and dental hygiene schools developing curriculum for power and hand instrumentation. She has presented numerous educational programs at schools and to dental professionals on biofilm removal, instrument maintenance, and infection control.

Becky graduated from University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine, Dental Hygiene program where she also received her Bachelors of Arts degree. Becky practiced as dental hygienist for 10 years in general, pedo, and periodontal offices. Becky left private practice to pursue an opportunity with Benco Dental Supply as a practice management specialist, training offices to increase productivity, patient retention, and patient recruitment.

She is member of ADEA, American Dental Educators Association and American Dental Hygiene Association. Becky is passionate about education and providing programs to students, educators, and clinicians to enhance field of dentistry.
