Phyllis Martina is the Senior Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals. She joined Colgate from Hu-Friedy Mfg. Co., LLC where she was the Western Region School Manager. Her previous position was as a clinical faculty at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where she was responsible for dental student non-surgical periodontal course in their second, third and fourth year of their dental education.

Phyllis graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors. She received her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing and finance from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles California. She has over seventeen years' experience in general, periodontal and pediatric dental offices.

Phyllis' career in dental hygiene started in high school as a dental assistant and includes positions as clinician, faculty member, as well as corporate positions in marketing, sales and management. She developed and presented courses to student dental professionals, faculty, professional associations and study clubs. Phyllis is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, American Dental Education Association and is a lifetime member of Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene honor society.

Susan Manning RDH, MS
Northwest Region

Susan Manning is the Academic Relations Manager for the Northwest Territory for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals. Susan is the primary contact for dental school and dental hygiene programs in the Northwest, where she provides administration, faculty, and students with relevant educational seminars and product information.

Susan graduated from Weber State University in Utah with an associate degree in dental hygiene and a bachelor degree in psychology and dental hygiene. She received her master degree in health education from the University of Utah. Susan has 10 years of experience in private practice and 20 years of experience in dental hygiene education. She was the primary researcher of the study, "Assessment of the Bone Surrounding the Mandibular Anterior Teeth of Individuals Wearing a Tongue Stud," published in the Journal of Dental Hygiene, Fall 2004.

As an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, Susan has served in a variety of elected positions, including President of the Utah Constituent. She is also a member of the American Dental Education Association and the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society.

Jorge E. Rojas, DDS, OS

Jorge Rojas is the Academic Manager of the West Region for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals. Jorge joined Colgate from DenMat, where he was Senior Clinical and Technical Advisor for Lumineers and Snap-on Smile. His previous position was VP of Latin American Regional Sales and Clinical Advisor for Premier Elite Group LLC for US and LATAM. In Madrid, Spain, Jorge served as a Clinical Researcher for Oral-B.

Jorge received his dental degree from Colegio Odontol�gico Colombiano in Bogota, Colombia and completed a fellowship in Oral Surgery at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain. Jorge has over 19 years of clinical, educational, and research experience that will allow him to execute his endeavor with Colgate. He is managing the West territory, covering California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, as well as working with the Hispanic Dental Student Association.

In his dental career, Jorge has developed and presented courses for student dental professionals, general practitioners, residents, and other dental professionals. He combines his skills as a researcher, clinician, and advocate to provide and share the best of his dental knowledge with the community.

Annette Wolfe, RDH, BS

Annette Wolfe is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, covering the Southwest. She joined Colgate from D4D Technologies where she served as Professional Services Specialist and a faculty member of the E4D University. Annette came to D4D in February 2007 from DENTSPLY Professional, where she served as Clinical Educator for the Southeast region. Prior to her position with DENTSPLY, she spent more than eight years with EMS/Electro Medical Systems, manufacturer of Ultrasonic Scalers and Air Polishers.

Annette graduated from Bristol Community College in Massachusetts with an Associates degree in Science. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene with a minor in business from Texas Woman’s University. Annette has written and presented continuing education courses; reviewed and revised textbook materials; provided clinical and product support for practice management organizations, dental dealers, and clinicians; and worked with numerous researchers from universities and research centers.

Judy completed her Dental Hygiene education at Hawkeye Institute of Technology, Waterloo, Iowa and her BA from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA. She has practiced in a variety of settings including clinical practice, education, and numerous positions in dental industry.

As a clinician she has practiced in general dentistry and periodontal practices. She has also practiced at the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry. As an educator she has taught clinical dental hygiene. Sales, marketing and education have provided many opportunities in the industry. She has presented continuing education courses throughout the country, and developed education courses for dental manufacturers. Her areas of interest include the oral systemic connection, fluoride therapies, dentin hypersensitivity and ultrasonic scaling. As a convention manager she has participated in hundreds of trade shows.

She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association and has participated in the association on a local, state and national level. She is also a member of the American Dental Educators Association. In her position as Colgate Academic Manager in the Southeast U.S. she interacts with dental schools and dental hygiene schools in ten states providing educational programs and product information to students and faculty members.

Debbie Fleming is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, covering seven states in the Mid-Atlantic and Central regions of the country. She joined Colgate from The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where she was a Clinical Assistant Professor. She also has held a faculty position at The University of Maryland, Dental School, Baltimore, where she was the first-year clinic coordinator in the dental hygiene department.

Debbie graduated from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA, with an Associates degree in Science. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has nearly twenty years in private practice experience.

Debbie’s career in dental hygiene includes a diverse and unique set of experiences. Clinician, faculty member, researcher, author, and advocate, include a few of the roles she has embraced. She has developed and presented courses to student dental professionals, professional associations, dental societies and study clubs. Her focus is to provide dental professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them with making active evidence based recommendations in their clinical practice. She is a contributing textbook author and has been published in both dental and dental hygiene publications. Debbie currently serves on the editorial review board for the Journal of Dental Hygiene, is a member of the Corporate Council for Dimensions of Dental Hygiene and is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association and the American Dental Education Association.

Diane Peterson is an Academic Relations Manager for Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, covering seven states in the Northeast region of the country. She joined Colgate from Surgitel Systems where she was the Northeast Territory Manager. Prior to her position with Surgitel she was a full time faculty member at Vermont Technical College. She also holds an adjunct faculty position at St. Petersburg College teaching in the online Bachelor’s Dental Hygiene Program.

Diane graduated from the University of Vermont with an Associate’s Degree in dental hygiene. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master of Science Degree in Education at the University of Vermont. She has nearly thirty years of clinical expertise in the field combining many roles including clinician, educator, advocate, and researcher.

She has developed and presented courses to student dental professionals, professional associations, dental societies and study clubs. Her focus is to provide dental professionals with current scientific research and information to assist them with making active, evidence-based recommendations in their clinical practice. Diane is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, the American Dental Education Association, and the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society.

Janette Delinger, RDH, MSDH
Midwest Region

Janette received her undergraduate degree from Wichita State University and her Master of Science in Dental Hygiene Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She has over 24 years of experience in private practice and occasionally works in clinical practice. Before joining Colgate, she spent 5-and-a-half years as the Midwest Professional Education Manager at Philips, where she presented programs nationally and internationally.

Since 1998, Janette has been active with the Kansas Dental Hygienists' Association, where she has served in many roles, including President, Delegate, and Legislative Chair. Currently she is the Trustee for ADHA District VIII, which includes Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. Having worked on legislative access to health care issues over the last 10 years, she is passionate about working toward solutions to help reduce and eliminate this crisis. She volunteers at the annual 2-day Kansas Mission of Mercy events, which donate dental services to those in need of oral health care.

In her position with Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, she manages a 6-state region in the Midwest and presents programs on a variety of topics throughout the United States. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists' Association, the American Academy of Dental Hygiene, the American Dental Education Association, Sigma Phi Alpha, and Phi Kappa Phi. She recently was honored and accepted as a Fellow in the American Academy of Dental Hygiene.
